VIRTU IN MIAMI

I’ve been on 37 flights this year and something I never leave home without is a premium fragrance. Since discovering Vince Camuto Virtu a few weeks ago, the sleek patent leather bottle hasn’t left my side.

Miami is an art deco masterpiece, a combination of silky humidity and sweet ocean breeze. VIrtu’s light; aromatic notes of papyrus, tree moss, white birch and sandalwood perfectly complemented the essence of the city and left everyone asking “what cologne are you wearing?”

From early evenings that turned into late nights at Soho House to endless trips up and down Collins Ave. Virtu is a fragrance that knows no boundaries and doesn’t dissipate overtime. A few spritz and you’re ready for whatever the world may throw at you.

The Macallan Masters Series

Over the past 7 years the internet have afforded me the opportunity to do some pretty incredible things. Every now and then, I’m invited on an activation this is so mind-blowing I can only take a step back and express deep gratitude. My most recent trip with The Macallan was just this.

The adventure began in Boulder City, Nevada where we were introduced to The Macallan Masters Series. The range features four stunning decanters that include the Rare Cask, Reflexion, No. 6 and the world’s most valuable whisky, The Macallan M. The series charts a path through the supreme quality of The Macallan’s unique sherry oak casks increasing in rarity through each expression. It was my first introduction to the history, romance and artistry behind this fine scotch whisky.

After our first two drams we were whisked away via private helicopter to the Valley of Fire. It was the perfect setting to experience the The Macallan M. As soon as the whisky touched my lips I could see why this fine spirit comes with such a heavy price tag. It was one of the most precious and complex single malt spirits I’ve ever tasted.

I can only hope that one day you’re lucky enough to have a dram from this ultra premium line of Mallacan whisky, it’s something your palette will never forget.

INTERIORS: NOBU HOTEL, MIAMI

As a first generation Cuban-American, Miami has always felt like a second home to me. It’s estimated that 34.1% of Miami’s population is Cuban, and because of this I’ve visited the city numerous times.

However, on my most recent trip to Miami I stayed at the Nobu Hotel and realized i’ve never done Miami quite like this. To say that property and service at the Nobu is beyond measure, would be an understatement. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with moist towelettes and a refreshing ginger tea—and that was just the beginning.

The property boasts an impressive 206 rooms, 3 pools and a spa but feels like an intimate boutique hotel. The ocean front view is breathtaking, even to the most seasoned of travelers. The interior of the hotel pays homage to Miami’s iconic art deco design but is intertwined with the asian inspired minimalism Nobu is known for.

While Miami is known for it’s eclectic nightlife, the Nobu Hotel is a retreat from the chaos of Collins Ave. Every time I came back to the hotel I was greeted by the sweet scent of Eucalyptus and an immediate sense of calm.

If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend staying at this hotel or paying a visit to their immaculate lobby bar.

THE NEW FRAGRANCE FOR MEN: VINCE CAMUTO VIRTU

When it comes to men’s fragrance, the market is flooded with options. With fall around the corner I’ve been on the hunt for a signature scent that exemplifies an appreciation for the finer things in life—and the drive to reach for and achieve them. I’m pleased to report I’ve found just that in Vince Camuto’s newest fragrance, Virtu.

The bold, aromatic fragrance mixes heat and coolness in a polished, sophisticated scent that enhances the effortless style of today’s urban man. Virtu doesn’t play by the rules—it has no concept of time. The scent’s crisp, powerful body can be worn night or day.

I live for the sleek patent leather packaging, it’s a stark contract from Eterno, Virtu’s predecessor. The industrial stitching on the bottle was the inspiration behind our shoot location and personified the urban elegance.
