Fancy Footwork

HEELLLOO!! How are you guys? I've been enjoying some much needed down time in LA. I'm headed to Croatia next month for Yacht Week and have been on the hunt for the perfect summer sandal.

Low and behold I found them on Far Fetch. Can we take a moment to appreciate these Gucci sandals? The moment I feasted my eyes on them I knew I had to have them. What I love most about the sandals is that their made from a really durable rubber---so I don't feel like I'm walking on eggshells when I wear them.

What do you guys think? Do I pull them off?

Trunks packed for Tulum

My life is a crazy dichotomy of high highs and low lows. Whenever I feel like I need to recalibrate and find balance I run away to Tulum.

Tulum is a magical slice of the Riviera Maya that celebrates an eco chic lifestyle and Mexico's rustic aesthetic. A place where you can wake up every morning and simply exist. As I write this from the comfort of a beach palapa, I'm so thankful for all the time I've gotten to spend here and the friend's I've had the pleasure of experiencing it with.

A few months ago I received a newsletter from Trunk Club about what to pack for a summer aboard and I got to thinking about what the modern man looks like when traveling. I instantly had visions of graphic tee's and board shorts and thought it was a great opportunity to show you guys how to elevate your travel style.

When it comes to destination dressing for men, our options are really limited. Brands that offer a dedicated resort collection are few and far between which means we really need to get creative when packing for a tropical destination. I consider myself to be well versed in the world of fashion, and even I struggle with this. I can honestly say that I've never had a more seamless experiencing preparing for a trip until I enlisted the help of Trunk Club.

The preparation began at the Trunk Club club house in Los Angeles. My stylist, Erin, greeted me with a glass of champagne and a rack of clothes that were perfectly palatable for Tulum. Erin informed me that she had spent the morning researching the weather and landscape to make sure the options she brought fourth would not only work for the climate but also compliment Tulum's scenic beauty. Her efforts paid off and we were able to try on and select the looks in underneath an hour.

We decided on a Billy Reid linen blazer, plain white tee and airy cotton pants from Ted Baker for my first look.  It was perfect for exploring several of Tulum's upscale culinary destinations because it allowed me to dress up without being too formal for dinner on the beach. My second, and  favorite look, was an indigo linen set from Rag & Bone. I am not exaggerating when I say that I LIVED in this. I spent my mornings at the beach air drying after a dip in the crystal clear waters, threw the set back on and hopped on a moped to my next stop. The clothes fared so well for this and never wrinkled or looked like they had been stuffed in my backpack while I was swimming.

While my partnership with Trunk Club did have monetary support behind it--I can't stress enough how much I stand behind their brand & business model. I really encourage you guys to take a gander at their website and try them out for yourselves HERE.

FAR FETCH x MONCLER

“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast”
— Ernest Hemmingway

I’m in love with love and Paris is a city that exudes picturesque romance at the turn of every corner.

After visiting Paris just four weeks ago, I had to come back before the frigid winter took it’s icy grip on the city of lights. The sunshine was sparse this time around but warmth of the boulangeries and mulled wine got me by.

Much like New York City, Paris is a destination that should be seen by foot and for that I turned to my friends at Far Fetch to keep me warm in the latest offerings from Moncler’s RTW collection.

Short for Monestier-de-Clermont, an Alpine town near Grenoble, France, Moncler came to fruition as an outdoor’s company producing sleeping bags, tents, and other mountain adventure necessities. Today, the French-Italian label is best known for its lightweight, super-warm quilted down jackets, as well as ready-to-wear and accessories hardy enough to take on the harsh european winter.

I hope you enjoy this post, I wanted to give you guys a glimpse into the beauty that lies beneath the wet pavement and gloomy skies of Paris in the winter.

Until we meet again xo
