VISIONARY

Finding out your perfect vision is no longer perfect sucks, for lack of a better term. Poor eyesight is becoming increasingly common in young adults and I found myself suddenly mourning the loss of my 20/20 vision. Having never worn glasses before, this was a pretty big move in the game life.

Somehow, this all related back to my serious commitment issues and I really wanted to test drive some frames before I made any hasty decisions. I found David Kind online and was really attracted to their range of sleek and contemporary styles. Their service model was also extremely simple: let their in house stylist know what you like/ don't like, receive 6 pairs of glasses for 6 days and repeat until you find that perfect pair.

Thankfully, my stylist Laura nailed it on her first try and I'm writing this blog post squint-free! David Kind took care of shipping both ways and ultimately alleviated a lot of unnecessary anxiety in my quest for clear vision.

Lust for Luxury

Having an affinity for luxury is both a blessing and a curse. I think there is something very rewarding about saving up for a coveted luxury item.

However the saving process can be daunting, especially when you have your sights set on french designers. My friends at Fashionphile make the luxury shopping experience more realistic via their incredible archive of pre owned designer bags. Every one of their items goes through an extensive procedure to ensure 100% authenticity and are typically in "like new" condition.

Christmas is around the corner my friends! That chanel boy bag is more attainable than you think.

HILL STREET

I keep trying to convince myself that fall is coming, but the weather just won't oblige.

I snapped these downtown during an afternoon of meetings, in a look I can only describe as "put-together laziness." Take one vintage Moschino tee, pair with slightly wrinkled trousers and top off with loafers to avoid physically having to tie your shoes. Be sure to run a brush through your hair for good measure.

American Made Menswear: GQ x Northern Grade

I spent this past weekend at the expertly curated GQ x Northern Grade pop up shop. This edition of the event was hosted Downtown in the Arts district and oozed california's relaxed edge. My friends at MTM watches were in attendance and the event brought together a handful of local menswear designers.
