I'm currently struggling with the fact that it's already fashion week. Where has the time seriously gone!? I am so excited to experience New York in the warmer months, as the hellacious polar vortex in February made me despise all things NYC.

It’s no secret I have an affinity for designer. As i’ve gotten older i’ve strayed from the allure of fast fashion and only visit the retail space for “investment shopping.” I always aim to present high price point styles in a down to earth manner.
I personally think it is offensive when someone is blatantly dripping in designer. Fashion is the best way to show case your personality without having to actually speak, so when your outfit reads like an american express black card purchase—you get the idea.

Fashion Week to Some: it's a Disneyland of sorts where oversized sunglasses and stilettos take the place of Mickey Mouse ears and Magic Castle rides. For those in my industry, Fashion Week is 7-days grouped into one huge blur, that consists of copious amounts of espresso and very little carbohydrates.
While i'm far from a Miami Swim Week veteran, I learned during my stay at The James RoyaI Palm that the only way to survive.... is by learning the "tricks of the trade" from the city's most enduring hotel.
Let me first explain!
Foremost, if you don't get a proper nights rest during your week in Miami -- you'll be dead (quicker than your iPhone battery). While the process of removing yourself from the hotels heavenly beds each morning is truly a daunting task, I was able to tackle the shows without using profane language or biting someone's head off (excuse me).
When you stay at the James, you're able to take chic pool meetings after a 13-hour day and shimmy straight up to your room after -- important.
It also goes without saying that when you stay in this hotspot: Location Location Location.!
The fact that this boutique hotel sits on Miami's Atlantic white beaches and is also conveniently located near the Swim Tents...is well, everything.
